1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the use of the Volthub platform, services, and APIs. By accessing or using Volthub as a merchant or buyer, you agree to comply with this AUP. This policy is designed to ensure compliance with Ghanaian laws, Bank of Ghana regulations, and our payment partners' (Paystack) requirements.
2. Prohibited Products and Services
You may NOT use Volthub to sell, promote, or facilitate the exchange of the following prohibited items:
- • Illegal Drugs & Substances: Narcotics, steroids, controlled substances, or drug paraphernalia.
- • Weapons & Explosives: Firearms, ammunition, explosives, fireworks, or other dangerous weapons.
- • Counterfeit & Infringing Goods: Fake designer products, replicas, bootleg recordings, or any items that infringe on intellectual property rights (trademarks, copyrights).
- • Adult Content: Pornography, sexually explicit materials, or adult services.
- • Hazardous Materials: Toxic, flammable, or radioactive materials.
- • Financial Schemes: Pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, multi-level marketing (MLM) programs, or "get rich quick" schemes.
- • Stolen Goods: Items that have been stolen or acquired through illegal means.
- • Medical Devices: Unlicensed or prescription-only medicines and medical devices without proper authorization from the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) of Ghana.
3. Prohibited Actions
Users of Volthub are strictly prohibited from:
- • Fraudulent Activity: Engaging in any form of fraud, including using stolen credit cards, identity theft, or mobile money fraud.
- • Money Laundering: Using the platform to launder money or facilitate terrorist financing.
- • False Information: Providing false, inaccurate, or misleading information during the onboarding or checkout process.
- • Data Scraping: Using automated bots or scripts to scrape data from the Volthub platform.
- • Harassment: Harassing, threatening, or defaming other users or Volthub staff.
4. Compliance & Monitoring
Volthub reserves the right to:
- • Monitor all transactions and product listings for compliance with this AUP.
- • Request additional information (KYC/EDD) from merchants to verify the legitimacy of their business.
- • Remove any listing that violates this policy without prior notice.
5. Violations
If a user violates this AUP, Volthub may take the following actions:
- • Immediate suspension or termination of the user's account.
- • Freezing of funds associated with the violation (subject to investigation).
- • Reporting the activity to Paystack, law enforcement, and relevant regulatory bodies in Ghana.
